Montrose-based RetroFoam of Michigan has inspired area businesses and residents to give back thanks to a new partnership with Make-A-Wish Michigan.
Looking for a charity to partner with in 2016, the spray foam insulation company selected Make-A-Wish Michigan because of the impact they are making in the lives of children and families across Michigan.
One way RetroFoam of Michigan is getting involved is participating on a 300-mile fundraiser bicycle ride in July from Traverse City to Michigan International Speedway. Known as the Wish-A-Mile Bicycle Tour, the team of riders hopes to raise a minimum of $4,500.
Local businesses like Community State Bank have supported RetroFoam of Michigan’s efforts with excitement, encouraging customers at its six locations to purchase a blue Make-A-Wish star, which funds the company’s bike ride.
“I am hoping we can really help out a lot,” said Diana Duncan, branch manager at Community State Bank in Montrose. “Anytime we can help out we are always willing, anytime it is a good cause.”
Andrea’s Place, a salon in Clio, also has strongly encouraged customers to purchase blue stars for the Make-A-Wish Michigan fundraiser.
Make-A-Wish Michigan is dedicated to granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.
